Description: Grand Lattices is an award-winning design for pedestrian gateways to access Chicago’s waterfront - offering new vantages that bridges the Lake and the City above Lake Shore Drive. A series of underpasses are marked with a unique and singular form above as a viewing deck, serving as a landmark and icon to access the waterfront. The underpass offers an opportunity for a new public space above, giving pedestrians a new public space at the intersection of city and lake, park and highway.
